The home where we watched a woman hand-make my set of mugs in Guatemala.

I pull inspiration from a lot of people; their work, their style, their perspectives. But...

where I really

find myself

& where

my soul lights up, is in

objects.

Old things, handcrafted treasures, even sometimes the cutting edge items that feel like they escaped from a sci-fi set.

Flor de Sal d'es Trenc, Mallorca set adjacent to their own salt fields. Inside the BEST Flor de Sal - something I'd love to go back for.

My home is basically a museum of my life, except nothing’s behind glass and everything gets used.

Each piece pays homage to

somewhere meaningful,

& all of them

shape the way I design today.

There’s a set of mugs I bought from a woman throwing clay in a hut in Guatemala. The alpaca throw I haggled for in Peru. The French antique dining table that has lived more lives than I have. The confit jar from the French countryside. The Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc from Mallorca that I swear tastes better purely because it's smug about its origin story.

Sometimes you have to look really hard to find a special piece. This French country table was buried below several other collected antique items at Show Pony (my favorite antique destination) in Palm Beach when I stumbled across it.

These pieces

don’t just tell their own vibrant histories;

they tell mine.

Not just where I’ve been, but what I’m made of: a love for the old and imperfect, a deep appreciation for craft, an affection for people in all their forms, and a language that goes beyond anything written down.

And sure... I may not speak English the goodest, but I can make something beautiful, and I can make you feel at home.
